Spend an afternoon at Teacher Dorothy’s home and help to create one or more baby quilts for the Linus Project. We will gather for a simple lunch and then Dorothy will provide basic instructions on how to make a simple baby quilt. We will spend the afternoon creating at least one baby quilt, and more than one if we have enough quilters. The baby quilts will be donated to the Linus Project (www.projectlinus.org) whose mission is to “provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade, blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer 'blanketeers'.” All levels of creators are welcome including people with no experience and you experts out there who would enjoy an afternoon of visiting and sewing.
Lunch and all quilting materials are provided.
